For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the power of photographs—the way they hold stories, emotions, and connections to the past. My passion for history eventually led me to a BA in Art History, where I specialized in Museum Studies.

During my two years working at the Palmerston Railway Museum, I learned firsthand how to handle, catalog, and preserve historical artifacts. I realized then that a family’s photo collection isn’t just "clutter"—it’s a private archive that deserves professional-grade care.

I Have Been in Your Shoes

In 2014, my personal and professional worlds collided. I inherited my childhood photo albums when my parents downsized, quickly followed by my husband’s family collection and my late grandmother’s albums. As the boxes piled up, I felt the weight of responsibility. I worried about fire, flood, and the natural decay of aging paper.

Using my background in preservation, I began researching the best modern ways to digitize and protect these legacies. I developed a system that worked so well for my own family that I knew I had to help others do the same. That’s why I founded Tidy Memories.

A Professional Standard of Care

I believe in continuous learning to provide the best service possible. I am a former member of The Photo Managers (formerly the Association of Professional Photo Organizers). Attending their 2018 national conference allowed me to build a network of colleagues across Canada and the United States, ensuring that my methods stay at the forefront of the industry.
