Tidy Memories - Digital Photo Organizing FAQ's - Stratford, ON
  • No! You will not need to hand over your phone for us to get the photos off. We will set you up with a Sync.com account. Once you have installed the app on your phone and logged in with the account we have set up for you, Sync.com will start backing up all of your photos and videos to the cloud. Once the back up is complete, Tidy Memories will be able to access these photos and video files to add them to your external hard drive.

  • Sync.com is a Canadian based secure cloud storage service platform designed to protect your privacy. They have enabled end-to-end encryption features which help protect your data from unauthorized access in the cloud. Keeping your confidential documents, photos and videos safe, secure and private. In other words, you won’t have to worry about anyone accessing your family photos and videos or selling your information to advertisers. They also do not claim ownership over your data - it belongs to you, and you only (unlike other cloud platforms).

  • Each project takes approximately 3-4 weeks once the devices have been received.

  • The great thing about creating a centralized photo library on an external hard drive is you won’t need any special software to view your collection. You can access your photos from any computer (Mac, PC or both) with a USB plug in.

  • A Photo Source is any device or account that currently holds your digital photographs.

    · Computer (old & current)

    · Cellphone (old, current, those belonging to family members etc.)

    · External Hard Drives

    · Camera

    · Tablets / iPads

    · Emails

    · Cloud Services (ie: Dropbox, Google Photos, Amazon Photos, One Drive etc.)

    · Photo Sharing Websites (ie: Flickr, Photobucket, etc.)

    · Photo Retailer Websites (ie: Shutterfly, Blacks Photos, Walmart Photo Centre, Costco etc.)

    · SD Memory / Camera Cards

    · USB Flash Drives

    · CDs & DVDs

    · Floppy Disks

Each individual device OR account equals ONE source for pricing purposes.

Smaller items such as memory cards, USB flash drives, CDs, DVDs are grouped into 10s, meaning up to 10 of those smaller items equals ONE source for pricing purposes.

  • That is great! If you already have your photos from your cellphone being backed up to a cloud storage service, we can extract the photos from that account. Your cloud storage account will count as 1 (one) photo source.
